Geeky character wore glasses and a shirt where as the popular girl wore make-up and was always on her phone. We exaggerated the fact she was always on her phone, its the reason she bumped into the geeky boy. 

We tried to emerge the two different worlds this made us go away from the stereotype as the popular was meant to go out with the popular boy and the geeky boy doesn't have a girlfriend. Therefor we changed it by making them fall in love with each other.
